STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION
ABOUT SSC EXAM
Recent studies have revealed that vacancies are abundant in the government sector including Graduate Level- Assistants, Auditors/ Jr. Accountants /Upper Division Clerks, Divisional Accountants, Inspectors of Income Tax/Central Excise, Sub-Inspectors in Central Police Organizations (CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP and SSB) and the CBI, Section Officer (Commercial) and Section Officer (Audit). Matric Level- Stenographer Grade `C`, Stenographer Grade `D`, and Lower Division Clerks. The Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined (Graduate Level) & Combined (Matric Level) examinations every year.
ELIGIBILITY
(a) Age-limit: 18 - 27 Years
The maximum age limit specified is applicable to General Category candidates. Relaxation of upper age limit for reserved categories - as per rules.
(b) Educational Qualification: Minimum qualification is 10+2 or a degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
(c) Selection Procedure: The selection will be made on the basis of performance in the Written Test and Interview.
EXAM PATTERN
Written test is of two hours duration consisting 200 marks and 200 question from 4 different sections(See below). Candidates are called for typing test/ skill test on the basis of marks obtained in this examination(who gets minimum qualifying marks).
